Osceola
Cancer Foundation
is seeking volunteers to sit with Cancer patients as they
receive their chemotherapy treatments at Florida Hospital
Celebration Health, and at the Osceola Cancer Center,
737 Oak Street, Kissimmee. Volunteers are welcome to visit
while the patients wait to be seen by their doctor, to bring
them coffee, to simply allow them to talk and share their
hearts. If you have the Gift of Mercy you are the one for
this opportunity! You will be rewarded by what the time you
give!!!
Volunteers must

“Friends of
Celebration Rotary”:
Do you enjoy
volunteering at “Give Kids the World” with a group of friends
joining together for the common good? The Celebration Rotarians
serve dinner and ice-cream the last Wednesday of each month at
“Give Kids the World”. They would like to have YOU join them.

The
Children’s Hope & Mentoring Program (CHAMP)
sponsored by Osceola Council on Aging and the School District of
Osceola County need mentors to assist with youth based after
school program one-hour each week. Mentors must be age 50; 170
students will be in the program for the 2009-10 school year.

The Nature Conservancy:
Volunteers welcome to help with a new fire effects monitoring
program at The Disney Wilderness Preserve; during October –
May. After volunteers are trained, they will be sent with a
staff member to remote areas of the preserve with a GPS to
collect data such as percent cover of grasses, pines, hardwoods
and palmetto. Volunteers must have ability to walk distances in
dense wilderness. Weekdays; Monday – Thursday.

H.O.M. E. (Helping Others
Make the Effort)
is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the
cycle of homelessness in Osceola County.
H.O.M.E. is in need of food donations. Please drop off
non-perishable items to the Celebration Foundation office, 610
Sycamore Street, Suite 110, M-F 9am-5pm.
ALSO:
Did you grow up in a single-parent home? YOU may be the
volunteer needed provide a series of parenting workshops with
the single mothers at the H.O.M.E. campus. Classes are held
Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30pm.
